1. What is Pathways to Higher Education-Egypt?

Pathways-Egypt, a free pilot program, trains fresh underprivileged graduates who are willing to resume postgraduate studies and need focused training to sharpen research skills. Being underprivileged extends to those who may not be able to compete normally with other groups of the community because of gender, social, number or economy-related reasons or the like.

2. What is the mission of Pathways Project?

Pathways mission is to  increase the prospects of the fresh university graduates to postgraduate studies, to benefit from the International and local fellowship and scholarship programs for pursuing higher studies and/or to enhance their chances in finding better job opportunities,

3. Who are Pathways partners?

PHE partners in implementing the program are: The Future Generation Foundation (FGF), The National Council for Women (NCW), Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ford Foundation (the grantor of the project) and managed by Center for Advancement of Postgraduate Studies and Research - Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University (CAPSCU).

3. What are Pathways Training Programs?

PHE/EG project offered three different training programs. Each program has its character that achieves the PHE/EG objectives. The implementation of the three PHE/EG training programs resulted in the graduation of more than 2000 trainees until now. They are:
a. Basic Business Skills Acquisition program (BBSA)
b. Enhancement of Research Skills program (ERS)
c. Training of Trainers program (TOT)

4. What are the qualifications required in the candidate?

a. To be fresh graduate.
b. To be Willing to resume his post-graduate studies.
c. To have good computer background

6.  What are the documents required?

a. copy of personal ID
b. copy of the graduation certificate
c. copy of postgraduate studies card (if found)
d. copy of personal CV
e. copy of BBSA certificate (if found)
f. copy of certificates of any computer or language courses attended (if found)
g. 2 personal photos
h. Military service status (males only)

Potential candidates will bring the above mentioned documents and present them at the administration office.

7.  Where is the Administration Office?

The Administration office is at the Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering, Second Building, Third Floor, Center for Advancement of Postgraduate Studies and Research (CAPSCU)

8.  What are the course fees?

The course fees are L.E. 50, paid as part of registration.

9. Where will the course be held?

ERS program uses different training venues at Cairo University as following:

Consequently, new facilities and equipments are created within each faculty center. Pathways plans to use other facilities centers at Cairo University, especially the faculties of humanity and social sciences.

10. Who are Pathways shareholders?

Pathways shareholders is composed of about 90 staff members and expert who participate in the main project activities such as training, management, research supervision and general lectures. They work according to Pathways TMS (Training Management System), they have to use the up-to-date training facilities and accept the trainee's evaluation to improve the training quality.
